Keep Trying.

Our shared book was all about working hard and never giving up. We read the story about Keep Trying by Jane Buxton. We think the athletes at the olympics worked very hard and never gave up.

What shapes are at the Olympics?

Our class had to look for different shapes at the olympics. My teacher told us about 2D and 3D shapes. These are some of the shapes we saw and made.

The Olympic Race poem

Last week our poem was all about taking part in the olympics. We had to pretend we were standing in a stadium. It was fun learning this poem.

An Olympic oath for children.

We learnt this olympic oath to remind us of how to participate and contribute to a game and team work.
We have a mini olympics everyday before we go home. The winner gets to take a gold medal home.

Maori colour song

We are learning about the names of the maori colors and the colors of the olympic rings. We sang this waiata at our school assembly for Maori language week.

Ancient Olympics

The Olympics started a long time ago.

They have different sports at the olympics. It is about trying to be the best.

There is so much to learn about the Olympics! I know all the colors that are in the rings.
